Graduate School - Thanksgiving Dinner

The graduate animation student group, POV, met in Altadena to celebrate Thanksgiving. The traditional American Thanksgiving comes from the first Thanksgiving meal held in 1621 by pilgrims who settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts during the winter months.  An English-Educated Wampanoag tribesmen, Squanto,  taught the Pilgrims how to grow, prepare, hunt, and harvest food from the local environment. George Washington made Thanksgiving Day national government holiday on October 3, 1789.
National Day of Mourning is an annual protest on the same day as Thanksgiving to honor Native ancestors, illumination the major revisions of United States history, and renewed appreciation for Native American culture.
