Early Sunday evening, I ventured a trip to Yoyogi Hachimangu Shrine. Located in the heart of Tokyo sits a lush, green pocket in the Shibuya district. This time of year the air is warm and thick. The grounds of Yoyogi Hachimangu are completely enclosed by tall forest. The park contain a historic excavation site from the Neolithic era, a war time memorial from the Edo period, and two brightly lit vending machines.
